Quantum Business Law located in Markham have an immediate opening for an experienced Law Clerk . The successful applicant will act as the primary resource for lawyers and clients to assist with the handling of legal and administrative matters.

Salary will be commensurate with Corporate Law experience.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare corporate reorganization documents including: incorporation, amendments, amalgamations, continuances, dissolution's and drafting of share capital in respect thereof
• Process corporate documents utilizing Cyberbahn for Ontario filings and Corporations Canada for all Federal filings
• Assist with other general corporate matters, including all types of dividends (taxable, eligible and capital), annual resolutions and redemption's
• Assist with Business Number and Program Accounts registrations with Canada Revenue Agency and provincial tax registrations
• Update Minute Books and corporate database

Qualifications or Skills Required:

• 5+ years of Tax/corporate law clerk experience
• Member in good standing with the Institute of Law Clerks of Ontario
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Organized and meticulous with follow-up and detail
• Ability to work independently and take initiative, prioritize and multitask
• Capable of working under pressure and meeting deadlines with minimal supervision
• Flexible, team player who is client service oriented
• Strong technical skills using MS Office
