Job Description Serve customers by installing and servicing commercial door openings and applications. Provide superior customer service and present a positive, professional image to customers, clients, and employees in all interactions. Complete scheduled service requests within scheduled timeframe Install and service commercial steel frames, steel/wood doors, architectural hardware, and access control systems Perform onsite welding and modification work on steel doors and frames if needed Complete installation/service with as little disruption or impact to surroundings as possible Manage assigned schedule and document service and installation activities Repair, troubleshoot, and retrofit existing openings and products Complete service onsite if able using available tools, product, equipment Communicate with Service Manager or Salesperson to assist in ordering product needed to complete service work in a timely manner, solving issues correctly the first time Assist in Production Shops and with KENDELL projects if not performing onsite work Develop and broaden industry and product knowledge by attending Manufacturer Certification trainings or industry supported educational events and classes Qualifications High School Diploma or equivalent with minimum two years of basic carpentry experience Power Limited Technician certificate or low voltage experience preferred Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills Knowledge of welding machines, sanders and basic hand tools, including their uses, repair, and maintenance Experience in metal work (cutting, bending, welding), including use of Bondo Ability to follow written, visual (drawings or images), and verbal instruction Position requires a valid driver's license, insurability to drive under Organization's insurance policy, and valid DOT certificate OSHA10 Certification (certification can be received after hire) Additional Information Benefits: Medical and Dental Insurance, Vision, Life, and Disability Insurance, as well as Voluntary Benefits, HSA & FSA, and Employee contribution to 401k. *Employer match, up to 4%. Physical Abilities: Perform repeated physical activities that require considerable use of arms and legs and moving the whole body, such as climbing, lifting (to waist and overhead), balancing, walking, stooping, ability to lift 50bs and handling of materials Ability to travel, work evenings, weekends, and overnight as needed Working Conditions: Work conditions and work hours will change daily based scheduled service needs.Indoor/outdoor environments ranging from construction sites to finished buildings. Cell phone and email used daily. Daily use of company vehicle.
